Strongly Rooted in Stormy Times: Regenerative Agriculture Principles & Emotional Resilience
In the face of the coming inauguration in the United States, it is more vital than ever to strengthen the deep roots that hold us centered and connected to our healthy place and communities. Drawing key principles from Regenerative Agriculture that create resilience in the soil, we will explore tending our emotional landscapes for generative and regenerative growth and nourishment.Ā
Regenerative Agriculture is a robust solution for climate change mitigation by sequestering carbon dioxide in the soil while fostering resilient ecosystems and healthy food systems. Our food systems sustain or deplete our own body’s ecosystems, and what we feed our minds and hearts can likewise nourish or diminish our personal holistic health and well being. As we move to meet an ever threatened world by climate catastrophe and changing political landscapes, how do we meet the coming challenges with resilience?
Join us for this compelling workshop that will begin with a deep dive into the science of the key principles of regenerative agriculture that we will then use to map strong healthy practices for a thriving emotional ecology within your own life. Join Ecopsychologist and Climate Change Educator, Nikyta Palmisani, for this 90 minute workshop where you will create a personal map to weather life’s storms with resilience and connection. We will work to answer such questions as:
- How does our relationship to our food and how and where it is grown reflect our relationship to our place and our planet?
- How is an interconnected underground ecology like a thriving community of healthy human relationships?
- How do we adapt to diversity and complexity with curiosity and compassion?
- How do we strengthen our roots in our human communities to support our thriving social health and well being?
- How do we transform old thoughts and beliefs into rich compost to feed our fields?
The workshop will focus on these key objectives:
- Learn the basic principles of regenerative agriculture as a climate solutionĀ
- Work with our own lives as metaphor to map emotional and social resilience strategies using these guiding principlesĀ
- Create meaningful methods for implementing these strategies into everyday life
- Deepen relationships to place by bringing awareness to food choices, cultivation & consumptionĀ
